Yuva Brindavana

ನ್ಯೂ ಜೆರ್ಸಿಯ ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಯುವ ತಂಡವು ೧೪ ವರ್ಷದ ಮೇಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಯುವಕ/ಯುವತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಾಗಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಸದವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಯುವ ಬೃಂದಾವನವು, ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ, ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ, ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು, ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಕನ್ನಡೇತರ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಯುವ ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಟ್ರೆಕಿಂಗ್, ಪಿಕ್ನಿಕ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಇನ್ನೇತರ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ, ಬೃಂದಾವನದ “ಸುಮಧುರ ಸ್ನೇಹ ಸಮ್ಮಿಲನ’  ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೇ ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕೂಟ ಈಗ “ಪ್ರೆಸಿಡೆಂಟ್ ವಾಲಂಟೀರ್ ಸರ್ವಿಸ್ ” ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಸಂಘ-ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಸಾಲಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದೆ. ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಯುವ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಸೇವಕರು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಬಹುದು ಯುವ ಬೃಂದಾವನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿವರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ  : yuva@brindavana.org

Yuva Brindavana is a branch of KCO Brindavana with the goal of motivating young people to get involved with the organization and be part of a variety of opportunities available to all members of this youth group. Being part of the Yuva group here means being a part of one large Brindavana family. Volunteering being the key to personal growth, Yuva Brindavana also has selflessly been instrumental in collaborating many charity events to raise money for noble causes. Being a part of these events can give chances for youth to give back to their communities. From meeting and making new friends, to ample networking opportunities with professionals in a variety of fields, Yuva Brindavana has proudly assisted plenty of members to enhance their experiences for educational and professional growth. As far as the fun part goes, you may see selfies and group pictures of Brindavana Yuva at outdoor events like picnic and hiking activities; but also, while volunteering with planning, setting up the stage for many KCOB cultural events, all along creating precious memories to cherish forever. The “Volunteer Hours” certificate will be provided to Yuva Brindavana members to help them with college applications, a maximum of up to *10 volunteer hours per event* can be accrued. Also Brindavana Kannada koota is approved as an official Certifying Organization for the Prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award. Brindavana Youth can participate on this.

We are looking for our 10th and 11th grade Yuva to take active roles in Brindavana through Leadership roles and positions. This will help the Yuva attain some leadership skills and take the driver’s seat in making this organization more engaging for their fellow Yuva!

  • Our Brindavana youth joined their hands together with Charity Team to decided to do helping with shopping for “FOOD AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS DRIVE” things listed, loading, unloading, setting up, preparing the food bags, cleaning up, loading the car, delivering the completed task to TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen). We delivered 80 Diabetic Lunch Bags,120 Meal Bags and 30 Hygiene Care Packs 
  • On Valentine’s Day, our Brindavana young volunteers spread the love via heart-filled cards,

Keynote Speakers:

  • Ashwini Thammaiah, having graduated from MIT and Harvard Business school was able to talk about her venture into the new digital age when online marketing was making its initial impacts on society in the late 2000’s
  • Surabhi Pandit, a University of Michigan alumni, was able to educate an entire society about a career path in Social Service in an impactful way
  • Pramod Thammaiah, a Harvard graduate and a successful entrepreneur was able to motivate the new generation to take calculated risks and strive for greatness without fearing failure

the up and coming Yuvas during 2 sessions each of the 5 days of the week.

  • We certified 20 members for the CPR, half of which are Yuva members.
  • Along with volunteering for each of the 3 other KCOB events, the youth partook in volunteering for the Vijay Prakash concert from registration to ushering to cleaning
  • Participated in the first-ever Yuva Flash Dance organized by the cultural team for the Picnic
  • Wrote letters to our American Army to thank them for their services and efforts
  • Enjoyed each other’s company through activities like Six Flags, Rutgers luncheons, and such
  • Participated in one of the largest Kannada musicals held by the Live For The Moment (LFTM) organization
  • As part of the December Annual Day event, conducted a homeless drive, handing clothes and kits to the homeless in the streets of New York followed by a holiday party
  • As part of the December Annual Day event, conducted a CPR training session for the Yuva team (16 and above)
